Elecsis are the first company to satisfactorily get through the FATs for HS2.

On September 23rd and 24th, type tests were undertaken on Mechanical and Essential UPS LV Switchboards for use on the Westgate Vent Shaft. Tests were attended by representatives from HS2, SCS and Phoenix ME. We undertook the build of the switchboard and a series of comprehensive testing was completed on the switchboards to ensure not only the quality of the products but also the required functionality of the equipment satisfied the design requirements. The test included BMS interface simulation, secondary injection testing and a full range of insulation resistance testing.

All parties agreed that we provided quality products and responded to technical queries to the satisfaction of all with minor improvements agreed to enhance the Switchboards on future assets.

The Electrical distribution systems are a key part of the HS2 vent shafts and headhouses as they provide power and electrical protection to all the systems to be installed in the Assets including supplies to critical equipment by HS2’s Rail Systems Contractor.

This milestone marks a strong foundation for the successful delivery of upcoming projects and is a testament to the dedication and skill of our people.
